T Dunn Builders was established by Todd Dunn in 2016. Based in Waikuku, we build high-quality new homes, liveable sheds, minor dwellings, additions, renovations and extensions to existing houses throughout Waikuku, North Canterbury, the wider Canterbury region and on the West Coast.
We’re very proud to have recently won a Master Builder’s Regional Supreme Award for a new build that also featured on Grand Designs, and was especially notable because it was actually completed on time and within budget!

Todd was always going to be a builder. He is the third generation from a family of builders – dad, grandad, and both uncles were all chippies. Alongside the skills of the trade and all the professional qualifications and licenses that go with them, Todd acquired the attitude and work ethic that makes such a fine representative of the Dunn name today.

He was very professional and made a excellent job of the repairs. He worked in well with my tenant and went beyond the call of duty to make her feel comfortable throughout the process. The whole process was very easy from start to finish which included the design through to construction. Communication was excellent, the quality of the workmanship was very high, and the build progressed at a really good pace. One of the challenges was that we were living in Auckland for most of the build and were managing things remotely. Todd’s communication made this surprisingly seamless. He kept us well informed throughout the build and we always felt confident that things were being looked after. The other contractors Todd brought onto the project were also great to work with and produced a high standard of work. We’re extremely happy with both the process and the finished result. We would happily recommend Todd and his team to anyone looking for a builder who is reliable, communicates well and takes pride in the quality of their work.
